Goshen Mayor Stutsman announces resignation, will join LaCasa leadership
GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutsman announced he will resign as mayor and will join LaCasa, Inc. as its Chief Executive Officer.
In his resignation letter, Mayor Stutsman said he came to the decision in December 2022 after a long discussion with his family.
He announced his decision to department heads on Tuesday.
Stutsman said he plans to work closely with the city's next mayor to create a smooth transition process.
He's already spoken to a person whom he encouraged to run for mayor. That candidate, whose name has not yet been released, will run for the position.
An announcement regarding the candidate will be made within the next couple of days.
A team will be created to help with the transition from one mayor to the next. The team will be led by Deputy Mayor Mark Brinson.
Mayor Stutsman was voted into office in 2016.
