Goshen announces locations for residents needing shelter from heat

GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen residents needing to get out of the heat this week can find shelter at one of two locations around the city.

The Salvation Army, located at 1013 N. Main St., is open on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m.

Anyone using the Salvation Army at noon on Thursday or Friday can stay in the building during the one-hour lunch break.

The Goshen Public Library, located at 601 S. 5th St., is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.

Residents who need a ride to either of these locations can call the Goshen Police Department’s non-emergency line at 574-533-4151.
