Good samaritans step up to help after boat capsizes in Lake Michigan

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. -- South Haven Area Emergency Services announced with help from a group of good samaritans, two people were assisted after their Zodiac boat capsized Thursday night on Lake Michigan near the south beach.

The two occupants were wearing life jackets.

Authorities described the aid response from the nearby boaters and surfers as amazing.

Authorities said they also sent out EMILY, their new water rescue drone, from the beach.

No injuries have been reported.
