SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- A GoFundMe campaign has started for the family of Jeremy Bush, a South Bend firefighter who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday. The fundraiser has amassed more than $6000 since it was started.
“We decided to do a GoFundMe because I’m sure they’re gonna be a lot of medical expenses, unexpected funeral expenses so we decided that would be the first way we could help,” said Kelly Taddeo, a family friend and one of the organizers of the GoFundMe campaign.
Organizers say this fundraiser was a way to show the Bush family love and support during their time of need.
“So far we’ve had a fantastic response and have come together as a community to support somebody who everyday put his life on the line for us,” said Taddeo.
There is also a fund set up at Firefighter’s Credit Union for the Bush family.
