A cutoff surface low lurches slowly toward us from the south today, bringing in a renewed chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures sit around 80 degrees today, allowing for pockets of instability for potential storms to feed off of. Today will feel slightly muggier than yesterday with moisture from the gulf region entering the Great Lakes. A very similar story awaits on Wednesday in terms of pop-up showers and storms with the best chance of rain in the early afternoon. Thursday is still the day to watch for a potential severe risk as highs reach close to 90 degrees, although the timing of that concern for severe weather looks to be the late night into early Friday morning.
Today: Isolated thunderstorms. High 80.
Tonight: Scattered showers early. Low 59.
Wednesday: PM thunderstorms. High 80.
Thursday: PM thunderstorms. High 88.
