GOSHEN, Ind.— Events on July 3 and 4 in Goshen will allow people to pick up a free face covering.

The free face coverings will be given out on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following Goshen locations:

• Walmart at 4024 Elkhart Road
• Walmart at 2304 Lincolnway East
• San Juan Market at 922 E. Lincoln Avenue
• Carniceria San Jose at 214 N. Main Street
• Target at 3938 Midway road
• Corner of Washington and Main Street in Goshen

The masks are from Sew Loved and are made of cloth. They can be hand-washed and reused.

Two masks are allowed per person and will be distributed until supplies run out.

Children under the age of 2 should not wear a face covering, the health department said.

The events put on by Sew Loved Masks, the Elkhart County Health Department and Goshen College follow a mandate signed earlier this week requiring that people wear a face covering in Elkhart County.
