VeeCon 2023 takes over Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, this weekend. The business, marketing, and innovation convention drawing thousands from across the country features a lineup of speakers including Drew Barrymore, Shark Tank's Daymond John, and Tim Tebow.
The tickets to attend are NFTs, which people need cryptocurrency to buy.
"The technology is profound," Entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, better known on social media as Gary Vee, said. "I believe that every ticket will be an NFT in 20 years."
Vaynerchuk, the man behind VeeCon 2023, believes even though NFTs are primarily known as digital collectibles that one day most homeowners may see their mortgage or the deed to their home transferred as an NFT.
"The deed to your house, even though it sits in the municipality in your town, that building can burn down and disappear," Vaynerchuk said. "So the reality is having contracts on what is like an internet, but not controlled by anyone, thus rendering it being fully true, is one of the most profound technologies that have ever been invented."
VeeCon 2023 continues through Saturday. Information to purchase tickets can be found here.
