Free 'Spooktacular' band concert at Southwestern Michigan College Friday
DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- Southwestern Michigan College announced the community is invited to the Jazz Ensemble's free fall "Spooktacular" band concert on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Attendees can expect to hear music ranging from Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Michael Colgrass to the "King of Pop," Michael Jackson.
There will be trick-or-treating before and after the concert, and costumes are encouraged for all ages.
Alumni are also invited to join the band and chorus as the band closes the concert with the SMC Alma Mater.
“We have a photo booth planned,” Director of Bands Mark Hollandsworth said. “We have a costume contest planned. We encourage folks who come out to dress in costume, and we will as well.”
SMC’s other fall choir concert, “Song and Saga,” will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2,
