Free shredding opportunity in Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Members Advantage Credit Union is hosting their annual Shred Day on June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Shred Day is an opportunity for community members to protect themselves against the adverse effects of identity fraud.

“By destroying confidential material, people dramatically decrease their risk of becoming a victim of identity fraud. It gives us a chance to help people protect themselves and is also a great way for us to give back to our community,” said Frank Beachnau, President of Members Advantage Credit Union.

Anyone wanting to participate can bring documents containing sensitive information for shredding by joining the credit union at their Michigan City branch at 3064 Ohio Street.
