Former Notre Dame football player George Atkinson III dies at 27

NOTRE DAME, Ind.—A former Notre Dame running back has passed away at age 27.
According to multiple reports, including The Athletic’s Pete Sampson, George Atkinson III has died. He was a part of Notre Dame's 2011 recruiting class.
Atkinson’s death comes about a year after his brother Josh’s death.
