KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- Court documents from Kosciusko County reveal a Nappanee man has been arrested and charged with Sexual Misconduct with a Minor stemming from alleged misconduct in summer 2024.

Official documents reveal 37-year-old Curtis Dial has been officially charged with Sexual Misconduct with a Minor-Def. has intercourse or engages in other sexual conduct, a Level 5 Felony, and Child Seduction-Def. has a professional relationship with child and engages in sexual conduct, a Level 5 Felony.

Dial's first court hearing is Sept. 25.

Dial was employed by at Elkhart County ETC through The Crossing from July 8 to Aug. 30, 2024. The Crossing confirmed to ABC57 that he's no longer employed there.

Dial is accused of assaulting students at Elkhart County ETC.

Authorities say on or about Aug. 23, 2024, they received a report that Dial had inappropriate contact with several students.

The following contains information some may find disturbing:

A victim did come forward, stating she had spent time at Curtis' home to spend time with his daughter, but found the two were alone.

Dial allegedly had the victim place her bag in his room at which point he grabbed and kissed the girl.

At some point, the victim said she and Curtis picked up his daughter and saw a movie altogether before going back home.

When they got back, the victim said Curtis kept her up all night and convinced her to have a shot of whiskey before restraining her to his bed and touching her inappropriately.

The victim said Curtis made her shower in the morning. The victim noted Curtis had said "weird" things to students before, but they'd brush them off.

When interviewed by investigators, Curtis allegedly admitted to kissing the girl, restraining her, touching her over her clothes, and making her take a shower.

Dial stated that he did have a conversation with the victim about not being able to have a relationship because he would get in trouble.
