Food stamp benefit cuts start Friday

Starting Friday, tens of millions of Americans relying on food stamps might have a little trouble putting food on the table.


A 2009 federal stimulus plan boosting food stamp benefits expires Friday.


The change means about $40 less a month in benefits for a family of four.


About 1-million Hoosiers rely on the program and 1.2-million in Michigan.
