Food Bank of Northern Indiana

MICHIANA, Ind. -- The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced their schedule for their mobile food distribution in February.

Assorted food items offered free of charge, and items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. First come, first served, while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One box/bag per household.

Distributions are drive through. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.

The schedule for February is:

Feb. 9 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. EST - St. Joseph County

Charles Black Center, 3419 W. Washington St., South Bend, IN 46619

This distribution is sponsored by the City of South Bend and will serve 200 households.

Feb. 11 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. EST - Marshall County

Plymouth Parks, 1660 N. Michigan St. (Located by the Pool Parking Lot), Plymouth, IN 46563.

This distribution is sponsored by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and will serve 200 households.

Feb. 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. EST - Kosciusko County

First Baptist Church, 206 S. Oak St., Mentone, IN 46539

This distribution is provided by the USDA and will serve 150 households.

Feb. 17 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. CST - Starke County

Knox United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield St., Knox, IN 46534

This distribution is provided by the USDA and will serve 150 households

Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to Noon CST – La Porte County

La Porte County Fairgrounds, 2581 State Road 2, La Porte, IN 46350

This distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 300 households.

Feb. 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. EST – Elkhart County

New Hope United Methodist Church, 28765 County Road 4, Elkhart, IN 46514

This distribution is sponsored by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and will serve 200 households

Feb. 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST – St. Joseph County

This distribution is sponsored by Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and will serve 250 households.

Feb. 25 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon CST – LaPorte County

Kingsford Heights Community Center, 515 Wayland Rd., Kingsford Heights, IN 46346

This distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 150 households.

Feb. 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST – St. Joseph County
