SOUTH BEND, Ind. — With the FAA predicting that 82 million Americans will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, fliers at the South Bend International Airport were happy to share that their experiences were mostly positive so far.
Two families ABC57 spoke with said that their flights to South Bend from Orlando left early and arrived early.
Each person interviewed also commented that despite the recent government shutdown impacting TSA, getting through security was “a breeze.”
A TSA spokesperson said this week that more than 90% of workers had received their backpay.
One traveler shared that their flight to New York was delayed, but only by an hour, and their main concern was dealing with potential lake effect snow reaching Michiana during their trip home.
