CULVER, Ind. -- In 32 days, Notre Dame hosts Temple for the first football game of the season. The Fighting Irish opened their fall training camp Tuesday at Culver Academies.
Head Coach Brian Kelly says he wants his players to have a laser focus and attention to detail this preseason and that was on display during their first practice with shirts that read "Details matter."
Coaches will wear a different value on their shirts each day. Wednesday's shirts will be about attitude.
Coach Kelly spent time with new quarterback Brandon Wimbush, who showed off his passing ability while connecting with CJ Sanders.
After practice Coach Kelly said he saw a lot of physical improvement and maturity with the team as a whole and with Wimbush.
The team will work out at Culver Academies for the rest of the week.
