KNOXVILLE, TN -- The Irish have a season record of 38-14 and will face the top team in college baseball, the Tennessee Volunteers for a best two out of three series.
As for what you can expect in this matchup, here are the facts.
Notre Dame is making their third Super Regionals appearance in program history.
Tennessee swings the bat efficiently, putting up the most homeruns in the NCCA, this season.
Last but not least, these are the two most successful teams in the NCAA, over the last three seasons.
The Irish ranked number two, the Volunteers, number one.
Coming into this matchup, the Irish are aware that they are underdogs.
However, they're using that narrative to fuel them this weekend and still believe there's some housekeeping that can be done to outplay the Vols.
Both the Irish and Vols went 3-0 in Regionals last weekend.
