Fifteen-year-old student arrested for having weapons at school, 'potential target list' at home
CASS COUNTY, Ind. -- A School Resource Officer detained a 15-year-old male student in Cass County, Ind. on Monday after he was making threats and found to have multiple weapons with him at the school.
According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, the officer was alerted to the threat and began a criminal investigation before alerting school officials, and the student was detained before lockdown procedures could be initiated by the staff.
Authorities say the weapons the student had did not include any firearms.
"The 15-year-old male student was detained and transported to the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center pending a court date in Cass County," the CCSO said. "A search warrant for the student's residence was obtained by other Cass County Deputies. The warrant was served in the morning of December 16, 2024. Further evidence including a potential target list was seized during the execution of the search warrant."
