KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on South Country Club Road and East Winona Beach Drive in Wayne Township around 1:39 a.m., Friday.

The report states emergency personnel arrived on scene and found a 1996 Buick Centra that was being driven by 29-year-old Justin Netherland, of Warsaw, involved in the crash.

Authorities say the preliminary investigation determined Netherland was driving south on Country Club Road, lost control of his vehicle, and left the east side of the roadway.

Deputies say the vehicle then struck a utility pole, continued into a ditch, and came to rest against a tree.

Netherland was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office from injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County FACT Team.
