Indiana State Police asks for help in 2015 LaGrange County shooting cold case

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana State Police is asking for the public's help with an over-decade-old cold case.

The agency is aiming to identify the suspect in the shooting of Rocky Swihart in August 2015. 

The shooting happened near Stroh. Officials say Swihart was at his home on East 350 South, when a vehicle pulled into his driveway and a man got out of it. According to ISP, the suspect shot Swihart in the head after a conversation outside. Swihart survived with severe injuries.

ISP provided speculative police art images of the suspect and his vehicle, as described by Swihart.

Anyone with information can submit cold case tips to the Indiana State Police by calling the Cold Case Hotline at 1-800-453-4756 or emailing [email protected]. You can also submit a tip to the Lagrange County Sheriff’s Department at (260) 463 7491.
