Fatal crash on US 20 Bypass at Elm Road

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A crash involving a single vehicle on the US 20 Bypass left one man dead Sunday morning.
Michael Maskow, 45, of Howe, Indiana crashed a Toyota pick-up truck into the median of the eastbound lanes, ejecting him from the vehicle.
The vehicle came to a rest on its rooftop after flipping onto the median, reports say.
According to police, first responders arrived at around 8:40 a.m. to find Maskow deceased at the scene.
A female passenger was taken for treatment of neck and head injuries.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash but a toxicology report has been issued.
