ABC57 first told you about a shooting outside Bar Louie at University Park Mall that left one person dead.
Only on ABC57, the victim’s family is speaking out. The brother of the victim, 27-year-old Benito Bueno, says he’s only comfortable talking about who his brother was as a person, because he was not at the shooting.
Joey Bueno tells ABC57 Benito worked at AM General in Mishawaka and adds, “Very humble, he was a quiet guy but very trustworthy. He always looked out for others especially his family, he loved them so much.”
On Sunday, June 11th around 2:40 a.m. Mishawaka police responded to a call regarding a fight outside Bar Louie When officers arrived, Benito Bueno was found shot to death.
Court documents say Bueno and Miguel Rosales got into a fight. Rosales pulled out a gun, which both of the men struggled to get.
Two friends of Rosales pulled Bueno away and held him, that’s when Rosales allegedly pointed the gun and fired several shots.
Right now, Rosales is facing one count of murder. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Metro Homicide or Crime Stoppers.
