Comfortable today, but humidity builds as rain approaches
Family, friends, and various community members gathered at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on Notre Dame's campus today to say good-bye to Ernestine Raclin.
Raclin died Thursday, July 13, at the age of 95.
She is considered one of the most influential women in the history of Michiana.
She ran 1st Source Bank for 20 years and played an instrumental role in the development of IUSB, Stanley Clark School, and WNIT-TV.
Raclin was also the first woman ever to lead a local United Way chapter and she was also the first woman to serve on the national United Way Board of Governors.
The Celebration of Life service started at 3:30 p.m. today and lasted about 35 minutes.
