Extremely hazardous weather today, more snow this weekend

NOW: Extremely hazardous weather today, more snow this weekend

Wind chills reside around 20 to 30 below zero this morning as lake effect snow showers slowly develop southward through today. If you don't have to go outside for longer than 10-15 minutes today or tomorrow, don't. Temperatures feel below zero most of today and accumulating snow is expected today and tonight. Berrien and LaPorte Counties are still on track to see close to four inches by tomorrow morning while counties further east and south of the lake are likely to receive gradually less. Lows drop about five degrees below zero tonight and temperatures barely get past the zero-mark tomorrow during the day.  System snow develops in the southern half of Michiana Saturday night through Sunday as a major winter storm passes south of our area, producing possibly three inches or more along and south of US-30. There's still some uncertainty as to how much snow we could see by Monday, but we'll keep you updated.

Today: Snow showers. High 4.

Tonight: Scattered snow showers. Low -4.

Saturday:  Cloudy. High 8.

Sunday: Snow. High 14.
