Warm and sunny weather will be widespread across Michiana today with most areas expecting high temperatures in the mid 80s later this afternoon. Similar to yesterday, a few showers and storms are possible in the afternoon, setting up on the edge of high pressure to the west. Lows only make it to the bottom of the 70s tonight and will likely feel damp due to dewpoints in the mid 60s. Abundant sunshine and extreme heat begin on Saturday with all counties in our forecast area under an extreme heat watch from then until Tuesday night. High temperatures, starting Saturday, will routinely be in the low to mid 90s until Wednesday. With dewpoints in the mid 70s expected Saturday through Tuesday, temperatures will feel like the low triple digits in the middle of each day. Make sure to drink plenty of water to avoid heat-related illnesses when outdoors.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 85.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 72.
