Elkhart County deputies respond to single-vehicle crash in Nappanee

ABC 57 NAPPANEE, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on C.R 3 south of C.R 46.
The report states the driver was using his phone while driving and began swerving off of the side of the road.
He then struck an electrical pole and tree.
The vehicle sustained heavy all over damage and the driver was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
The driver was cited for the use of telecommunications while operating a motor vehicle and no valid license.
