Elkhart Police investigating reports of drive-by shooting

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of Franklin Street on Tuesday.

When officers arrived to the Marathon gas station, they located damage to one of the gas pumps, a gutter pipe and guard rail.

A witness told police a blue minivan drove by and fired at a green vehicle that was parked at the pumps, police said.

Both vehicles fled the scene.

Officers said they located shell casings on Indiana Avenue.
