Elkhart Police asking for help identifying robbery suspect

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department has released a surveillance photo of a man who is suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven on May 16.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven on S. Main Street at approximately 11 p.m. for reports of a robbery.

A black male, approximately 50 years old, 5’8” to 5’11” wearing a blue baseball cap, and blue sweats took money out of the cash register, police said.

After grabbing the money, the suspect left the store and walked northbound.
