Elkhart offering multiple Christmas tree disposal options

ELKHART, Ind. -- The city of Elkhart is giving residents a couple different options when it comes to getting rid of their Christmas trees this holiday season. 

Curbside pickup will be Jan. 8 - 19, but there are multiple locations where residents can drop off their tree.

Drop off sites:

1) Northside School parking lot off of Bristol St.

2) Westside School parking lot off of N. Nappanee St.

3) Pierre Moran Pavilion parking lot at 200 W. Lusher behind the school

4) Riverview Park parking lot at Riverview Av. and Superior

The city asks that people make sure the trees are clear of ornamentation and removed from their tree stand.
