Elkhart names coach for inaugural Varsity Boys Volleyball team
ELKHART, Ind. -- On Friday, Elkhart Community Schools announced that Kylie Giger will serve as the Varsity Boys Volleyball coach for the program’s inaugural 2025 sports season.
“Coach Giger’s experience in high school volleyball as both a coach and as a player makes her a valuable asset and a logical choice to lead this new sports program for Elkhart High School,” says EHS Executive Principal Cary Anderson. “Her passion for the sport and for Elkhart is seen in her commitment to the volleyball program and our school as a whole.”
Giger served as the Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball coach at EHS for five years, as well as three years as the Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach at the former Elkhart Memorial High School.
“I am thrilled and honored to be named the new Head Coach of the Boys Volleyball team at Elkhart High School,” says Coach Giger.
“This is an incredible opportunity to help build a new competitive program that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. It is a privilege to share my passion and knowledge of volleyball with a new generation of athletes in the place where my journey began. Elkhart volleyball played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today, providing invaluable experiences that laid the foundation for my athletic career. The least I can do is share that with our committed athletes and help guide them on their own paths to success.”
According to Elkhart Community Schools, a graduate of the Elkhart Memorial class of 2012, Coach Giger excelled as a student volleyball athlete. She was a first team all-conference athlete and was a member of the team that finished runner-up in the 2009 state championship.
Elkhart Memorial’s varsity girls volleyball team won the NLC championship each year Coach Giger was on the roster. In her college career, she played volleyball for both William Penn University and Goshen College.
