ELKHART, Ind.--- The Elkhart Police Department is searching for two men who shot a Kilbourn Street resident Thursday morning. The victim was struck in the leg but was released from the hospital that same day.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, tells ABC 57 that he saw two men trying to break into a neighbor’s car. He says he went outside and called out to the suspects.
The two suspects then ran off while firing shots back towards the victim’s home. The victim was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital.
Elkhart Police have not released any suspect information at this time. They are encouraging anyone with information on this shooting to contact them.
