ELKHART, Ind. -- Twenty-seven-year-old Storm Saylor, of Elkhart, was arrested on Dec. 10 and charged with Performing Sexual Conduct in Presence of a Minor after he was seen in a local Walmart exposing himself to a mother and her two children. 

Elkhart officers responded to the Walmart at 175 C.R. 6 W. around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday after reports of a public indecency/possible sex offense in progress.

"Upon arrival, officers made contact with the alleged male subject in the automotive checkout area and detained him," authorities said. "Initial investigation indicated that the male subject removed his penis and stroked it while he was near the toy aisle and near a woman and her two young children."

According to the arresting officer, "Storm pulled his penis out and began to stroke it while he was behind female and her two young children. It appeared that Storm took his penis out several times. It appeared that Storm was either staring at the female or her children when he was fondling his penis and he appeared to be within feet of them."

Walmart issued Saylor a lifetime trespass warning, and Saylor was officially charged with Performing Sexual Conduct in Presence of a Minor, a Level 6 Felony, Public Indecency with a Prior, a Level 6 Felony, and Criminal Mischief, a Class B Misdemeanor.

The mother in the case told police that she was not aware that he was behind her during the incident, and that she is glad that her four-year-old child was occupied on her cell phone instead of looking at Saylor. The other child was five months old.

This case has been forwarded to the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office for review of formal criminal charges.
