ELKHART, Ind. -- Last night around 1:46 a.m., officers responded to a welfare call when multiple victims stated they were attacked in a residence by a male suspect in the 300 block of N 2nd St. in Elkhart.
Officers would learn that the suspect, 48-year-old Games Birkhead, had an outstanding felony warrant and the SWAT Team would then be activated due to his refusal to leave the residence.
Later that same morning at around 8 a.m., the SWAT Team would breach the home, and the suspect would be arrested without further incident.
Birkhead is now behind bars at the Elkhart County Jail.
