ELKHART, Ind. -- On Saturday, Dec. 6, the City of Elkhart and Elkhart Fire Department hosted their annual breakfast with Santa, serving around 1,500 attendees, including children who interacted with Santa and fire department personal.
The event took place at the Central Fire Station in Elkhart and ran from 8 a.m. to noon.
Activities included taking pictures with Santa, face painting, and distributing hats and gloves to support the community.
Pancakes and sausage rolls were served.
Rodney Dale, Fire Chief of the Elkhart Fire Department, stated " This is awesome. The kids get to see Santa Claus. They get to interact with the fire department. We have all the elves. We have the different characters, just a community event to come together and talk and feed the feed the neighborhood and just be able to spend some time together to celebrate the holiday season. It's really a good thing."
