Elkhart County Parks ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart County Parks is hosting their annual "First Day Hike" on January 1, 2026.
There will be two hikes at different times and is open to anyone, no registration required and there will be no cost.
The first hike will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Boot Lake Nature Preserve, and the second hike will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Benton Dam parking lot at the River Preserve County Park.
Each hike will last about an hour, so participants are encouraged to dressed for the expected weather.
