Elkhart County offering Adventure Bike Camp July 8-10


ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Parks Department has announced a new day camp for local kids that not only gets them up and active but helps them explore their local community as they experience Elkhart County on a bicycle.

"The adventure begins as we discover something new in Elkhart County each day," said Elkhart County Parks' Andy Langdon. "Attractions include a trip to the pool, disc golfing in Middlebury and bowling in Elkhart also delicious ice cream will be provided. Each day we will begin at a different 'start and stop' location."

The camp is geared towards kids ages 10 to 13, and those who participate will need to bring their own helmet, water bottle, bike and bike lock.

The camp runs from July 8-10 starting at noon and ending at 4 p.m.

There is a $50 registration fee per child, and registration must be complete by Friday, July 7. The camp is limited to 20 participants.
