Elkhart County Miracle to host two free youth baseball camps this summer

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Miracle will be hosting a free youth baseball camp for local boys and girls ages five to 12.

"Elkhart County's minor league baseball team is set to launch the first of two free baseball camps for kids looking to have fun while improving their baseball skills," the team said.

The camp is directed by former Major League Baseball coach, and current Elkhart County Miracle baseball manager, Wilson Valera. Players from the Miracle will also be helping out the kids during the camp.

There will be two total camps, one on July 2, and the other on Aug. 2.  Both will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Area youth are invited to participate during either or both sessions on July 2 and August 2," the team said.

Registration is required and attendees will receive free tickets to an upcoming Miracle game along with other surprises.

The camps will be held at the home of the Elkhart Miracle, the Elkhart Athletic Complex, at the intersection of Waterfall Drive and Division Street in Elkhart.
