Eight people detained, three arrested during Berrien County drug bust

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Southwest Enforcement Team announced a recent drug bust on social media Friday, saying they detained eight individuals and seized a semi-automatic pistol, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia linked to drug distribution in Benton Harbor. 

The SWET team says the bust was carried out on March 25 in the 400 block of Broadway Avenue in Benton Harbor.

Arrested and lodged at the Berrien County Jail:

  • Forty-year-old Benton Harbor man charged with firearm and drug offenses
  • Fifty-six-year-old Benton Harbor woman was charged with delivery of crack cocaine, second offense
  • Thirty-five-year-old Benton Harbor man detained on a failure-to-appear warrant from Berrien County.

"The investigation continues, with the potential of additional arrests," Michigan State Police said. "SWET thanks community members for reporting suspicions."
