Early morning crash on State Road 19

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Around 5:20 a.m. this morning there was two vehicle crash on State Road 19 between County Road 28 & 26.
One vehicle was driving north on State Road 19 and the other was traveling southbound on State Road 19.
The northbound vehicle attempted to pass another vehicle and crossed into the south bound lane and collided head on with the southbound vehicle.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to South Bend Memorial as a trauma patient with a possible broken femur, shin, and hand lacerations.
The north bound vehicle was also cited for improper passing on the left causing bodily injury and driving without insurance.
