ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Over the limit, under arrest.  This is the promise that police officers from area agencies made on Friday.

Over this past weekend and during the Notre Dame vs. USC game, they kept their promise.

Police arrested 27 drivers for DUI between Friday and Sunday nights.  Of those arrested, 23 were misdemeanor charges, and four were felonies.

Several other drivers were ticketed for various other driving offenses, including:

  • Driving While Suspended
  • Speeding
  • Disreregarding automatic signals
  • Unsafe lanes changes
  • Driving left of center
  • Not wearing seatbelts
  • Not being licensed to drive

Lt. Tim Williams of the Mishawaka Police Department says there will be an update with the final numbers.  ABC 57 News will bring you that information once it is available.
