Driver dies in Fulton County crash Tuesday morning

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. – A driver has died following a crash on S.R. 14 on Tuesday morning, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced.
At 9:55 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of South S.R. 14 for a single-vehicle crash.
When they arrived, they found the driver of a 2021 Ford Explorer trapped and unresponsive in the vehicle.
The driver was extricated and, despite life-saving efforts, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Brittany Scutchfield of Silver Lake, Indiana.
The investigation determined Scutchfield was driving north on S.R. 14 when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle left the west side of the road and crashed into a tree.
This crash is still being investigated.
