Driver arrested for OWI, passenger sustains fractured hip, following single-vehicle crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash near S.R. 15 and Old S.R. 15 on Saturday around 5:59 p.m.

The report states a white 2011 Chevrolet Aveo, driven by 61-year-old William R. Saville of Goshen, was traveling south on S.R. 15 near Old S.R. 15 when he left the lane and crashed into a utility pole, causing the car to be disabled.

Saville's lone passenger, 57-year-old Sheila Mae Wagner of Goshen, was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for a fractured hip.

Saville was arrested on scene for Operating While Intoxicated resulting in Serious Bodily Injury after showing signs of impairment on Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

Saville was also cited for Unsafe Lane Use.
