Driver arrested for OWI, cited for Disregarding Stop Sign following two-vehicle crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports officers responded to the area of C.R. 10 and C.R. 1 around 9:26 p.m. Thursday for a two-vehicle crash.

The report states a 2022 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 31-year-old Austin Martinson of Elkhart, was traveling northwest on C.R. 10 approaching C.R. 1.

Deputies say that's when Martinson disregarded the stop sign and pulled in front of a 2018 Ford Escape, driven by a 51-year-old Granger woman, causing a crash.

Martinson was incarcerated for OWI and cited for Disregarding the Stop Sign and no insurance.
