The new plan to transform much of Potawatomi Park in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind.-Just in time for the holidays, the Doulos Chapel in South Bend is giving away food and clothing items on Saturday afternoon.
The church has received extra donations of nearly 400 pounds of food this week. They want to give it to those who need it most.
Doulos will be handing out lunchables, canned goods and frozen meat. They also partnered with a central Indiana farm to hand out turkeys, ham, instant mashed potatoes and sides of canned vegetables for Thanksgiving.
There will also be clothing for men, women, children and infants.
It’s happening from 12 P.M.-2 P.M. at 608 S. St. Joseph Street in South Bend.
