Disaster assistance available for Pulaski residents after flooding

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. – Pulaski County was added to the Presidential Disaster Declaration for Public Assistance regarding the February and March floods on Friday.

Several counties in Indiana and Michigan are eligible to apply for assistance.

Private Non-Profit organizations (PNP) can provide several services to residents, some of the following:

  • Food Kitchens
  • Homeless shelters
  • Museums
  • Libraries
  • Community centers
  • Schools

The PNPs borrow money to repair or replace assets, which helps flood-suffering residents fix the damage and still be able to afford the cost of living, according to the Small Business Administration.

The SBA has many resources for those who have damage from the floods, click here for an application and information on that.

The filing deadline to submit applications is July 5th, 2018.
