Deputies identify motorcyclist found deceased several hours after crash

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The driver of the motorcycle who was killed in a crash on M40 Sunday evening has been identified, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.

The driver has been identified as 65-year-old Therman Preston of Three Rivers.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, a resident in the 91000 block of M40 contacted deputies after finding Preston unresponsive in their driveway.

It was determined the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, but due to the weather conditions, he wasn't located until the following morning.

Deputies said the investigation revealed Preston died instantly.

The crash remains under investigation.
