DEA Drug Take Back Day set for April 30

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s nationwide Drug Take Back Day is set for April 30, offering prescription drug disposal locations across Michiana.

Drug Take Back Day is an initiative that encourages community members to get rid of unused prescription drugs.

Many participants host collection sites where community members can drop off their unneeded medications.

The disposal service is free and anonymous.

The 525 Foundation, a nonprofit that brings awareness to prescription drug abuse, has teamed up with Martin’s Supermarket to reward community members for getting rid of their unused medicine.

Anyone who drops off medicine to a 525 Foundation Hosted Location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Drug Take Back Day can enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Martin’s.
