ELKHART, Ind. -- Day two of the 2024 Elkhart RV Dealer Showcase featured more than two dozen manufacturers providing examples of their latest technology.
RV company Lippert hosted their “Day at the Track” event at the Elkhart Municipal Airport, to showcase their new anti-lock brake technology.
The purpose of their event was also to show that new tech to consumers, dealers and potential customers in a practical way.
The brake installation is meant to keep the RV from jackknifing when being pulled by a truck over icy or snow-covered conditions.
So, Lippert combined several slick substances to create a “fake ice” on the airstrip and allowed Forest River RV’s with the brake technology installed to drive on the icy straightaways as a test.
Dealers were allowed to ride along with test engineers while going through each brake test to get a first-hand experience.
The RV Dealer showcase continues through Thursday with more than two dozen manufacturers providing a look at what they believe to be the future of the RV industry.
