Dance like Nobody’s Watching: Logan Center hosts third Annual Prom

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Logan Center turned prom night into an inclusive community celebration this weekend at Four Winds Casino, welcoming guests of all ages and abilities for an evening focused on fun, connection and self-expression.

More than 300 people attended the third annual Logan Prom, making it the largest turnout yet.

The event featured music from DJ Big Perm, a favorite among Logan Center clients.

“He’s one of our Logan celebrities,” said Sarah Mackin, the Logan Center’s wellness program manager. “And a lot of our individuals really look up to him.”

Attendees filled the dance floor with passion, moving to a mix of classic hits like “Let’s Groove” and trendy pop songs — from “Golden” to “Pink Pony Club”.

Organizers said the night offers an opportunity many participants don’t often get.

“A lot of our clients don’t always get to do things like this, so seeing them be able to come out and just kind of let loose is really rewarding,” Mackin said.

Beyond the music, organizers emphasized the event’s broader purpose: encouraging social engagement and helping attendees step out of their comfort zones in a supportive environment.

“We have clients that normally aren’t used to activities like this,” Mackin said. “Over time, they hear about it from their peers, they get excited, and then they want to come. It’s super rewarding to see people come out of their comfort zones.”

With attendance continuing to grow, organizers hope to keep the tradition of turning Four Wind Casino into an all-inclusive party — for years to come.
