Crews still scrambling to contain deadly Colorado wildfire

CONIFER, Colo. -- Fire crews are hoping to get the upper hand on a deadly wildfire near Denver.

There's little time left before hotter weather and higher temperatures move in Saturday.  Around 650 fire fighters tackled the flames, but it's still burning.

The scorching flames killed at least two people, and one woman is missing. Dozens of homes just west of Denver have been destroyed.

Authorities say the 6-square-mile fire started after a state-sanctioned controlled burn last week. It was meant to thin dry vegetation and control future fire risks.
