Crews respond to barn fire in Howard Township

Firefighters responded to a barn fire Monday morning in Howard Township in Cass County near Niles, Mich.

The call of the fire came out shortly before 11:30 a.m.

Officials say there were no injuries associated with the fire. No people or animals were in the barn at the time of the fire.

The barn was full of hay and corn. Officials on scene say they believe the hay combusted, which caused the fire to start.

The barn is a complete loss.
